saturday agenda : hello astoria
Bored? A few suggestions from Team Metroblogging Seattle for your Saturday:
- Missed the yesterday’s liberal political blogfest? Hurry up and visit Kos and MyDD at Marymoor Park today or drive to Olympia tonight [mb]
- If you’re reading this, you must have saved a few precious weekend moments for looking at the internet. Use a few of them to register for the second
annualsemiannual Seattle Mind Camp while there’s still time. Seattle’s finest tech-leaning creative classers will be having a two-day slumber party starting on 29 April and running for 24 hours straight. If you won’t already be in Indio for Coachella, it’s probably worth your $25 to reserve spot now. - Mountain Con has a new record. To celebrate its release, they’ll be at Chop Suey tonight along with northwest hip hop stylings of Common Market.
- Dorky kids meet stupid criminals in a race for town-saving pirate booty. Stay up late and relive your childhood with a midnight screening of the Goonies at the Egyptian. Bring extra snacks, for Chunk’s sake.

If you’re a Goonies or Astoria fan like I am you should definitely check out the Columbia River Cam. It has several Goonies movie locations built right in and is in real time of course.
Columbia River Cam
Goonies turned 20 last year and I made it to the huge reunion in Astoria. Sean Astin was there along with Jeff Cohen (Chunk) and the guy whio played Troy’s father. Want more Goonies?

Quick comment – this is our second BI-ANNUAL Seattle Mind Camp ;) Last one was in November :)
