skyline watch : taller buildings a reality

skyline.jpg
Today the city council gave the city the gift that keeps on giving (no, not more dimmer strip clubs) — taller buildings. With this vote, downtown will be allowed to undergo a growth spurt while developers are charged little extra to help tend to the huddled masses yearning to be free. [p-i] Other provisions aim to keep the city’s pedestrians drier and reduce body odor induced by rigorous downtown cycling.

But what I think we’re all really wanting to know, is what will these new buildings do to our place on the “best skylines in the world” [citynoise] rankings chart.
