My life is as good as an Abba song*
It’s started, y’all [espn]. From today until April 3rd, I am in all college-ball mode.
Of local interest, the Huskies play tonight at 7:55 PST against Utah State. The schedule was set back due to a bomb-scare in the arena [espn], which has since been cleared up. As for the game, it seems like an easy match-up for UW, but then again, they lost to Oregon (who went 7-11 regular season) in the PAC-10 tournament. And if I know anything about this tournament, it’s that anything can happen. I’m so excited!
Except…the only problem is, with so many games going on simultaneously, I don’t know the best place to watch. I’ve only got one TV at home, you know. So, I’ve decided to take these 2.5 weeks to do a survey of Seattle sports bars. I’m looking for suggestions, if you’ve got a place you love, please let me know in the comments. Pretty please?

If you have digital cable, you can get 2 (or, with HD, possibly 3) games at once, channels 7, 107, and 117.
My pain is that Syracuse is not one of the games being shown tonight, so it’s off to … I don’t have a clue yet. Possibly that sports bar at the end of 4th that I can’t remember the name of.
The Ram would be good, if UW wasn’t playing at the same time.
Sport!
Sport in the Fischer Plaza is the best sports bar in town for watching sporting events. It has the most TV’s (a tv in every booth, plus a ton of HD tv’s around at good viewing angles and a HD Projector which is amazing) I was right in front of the Projector from 4 until after the Huskies win on Thr. and loved every minute of it.
The only hard part of watching games at Sport is getting their early enough as it fills up very fast. My friend was able to watch games from 12:30 on and therefore saved us some seats until 4:30.
Fox Sports Grill is a nice bar, but it is not a good sports bar at all. Outside of the actual bar area and the private rooms there are not enough TV’s and they are not located close enough to most tables. I made the mistake of watching the UW sweet 16 game there last year and will never go back to actually watch a sporting event there. Great food and a great looking bar, but just not right for a major sporting event.
Ohh yea, Sport has Satelite and Cable so you always get the best picture and have all the games on. It’s incredible.
One last note, no I don’t work there, I’m just a big fan.
C Ro you ever watch games at Bamboo as you are a fellow Alki resident?
John: I hope you found the Syracuse game somewheres.
Otis: I have been contemplating Sport, but I’m afraid it’ll be too crowded once I get there. Went to Fox Sports last night, and well, I’m posting about that today. As for Bamboo, I didn’t even realize they had TVs in there. I’m shocked.
