Two weeks left to be 20 years younger

Quick poll — where were you twenty years ago? I don’t want to say too much, but for me it involved a really bad perming decision and a huge crush on Chris Barnes, the little kid on Starman, the series. If you had mentioned Seattle to me, I would have said “What’s Seattle?” but over here in Seattle things were heating up on their own, with Microsoft offering up public shares, and the Victoria Clipper offering up daily trips to Victoria.

Victoria Clipper is commemorating this anniversary until the end of March, by offering the (advance purchase) trips at their 1986 prices from Mondays to Thursday until June. That would be $59 round trip.

It’s actually not a super huge discount for this time of the year (maybe I saved $11, or so on trip prices ranging from $70-$90), but by the end of May, the saving could be significant ($30 or so, on prices starting at $91). Time to start planning that spring trip to Butchart Gardens right now, it seems.

As for Microsoft, well… I think we would all like to see them take a page out of Victoria Clipper’s books and start offering their shares at 1986 prices too. How about it, MSFT?
