Controversy brewing?

Looks like there might be a controversy brewing in our backyard. As well there should be. Yesterday, the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal published an opinion piece in which Adele Fergusen urges African Americans to think of slavery as just part of God’s plan to help them get to America. The “look on the bright side” approach. I won’t quote Ms. Fergusen here, but follow the link above if you think you can stomach it.

I’ve seen this picked up by a couple of lefty blogs so far (here and here), and I imagine the Kitsap Peninsula Business Journal will be getting more letters to the editor than usual this week.

    OMGWTFBBQ.

And, I’m sorry, but she should not be allowed to use the phrase “my black brothers and sisters” (assuming that picture is of her.

Do have to love the fact that they provide everyone with her mailing address…..

hahaha! people in Kitsap have known for years that she’s an idiot. now, i suppose, the whole world will get to point and laugh.

and in answer to the question posed in the title on her opinion piece: because of opinion pieces like that one.
