Spring cleaning
Ladies, have you looked in your closets lately? You know all of those business casual clothes you bought when you first started your job, back before you realized that everyone in your office wore jeans every day? I bet you could get rid of some of those. Same goes for a couple of those black belts and sensible accessories and handbags and shoes.
You might be thinking that I’m going to suggest you donate them, and three cookies for you because you’re right. Dress for Success Seattle is going to be accepting donations at two different locations this week, and I was thinking maybe you could help them out. Dress for Success is a nonprofit that provides low-income women with a suit to wear to interviews as well as a week’s worth of outfits to wear once she gets the job. It’s a way to help people get back on their feet. Right now they’re in need of plus size clothes, wide shoes, handbags, scarves, and umbrellas. You’d be making room in your closet for spring and helping someone out at the same time, and we all know that helping others is incredibly sexy.
The IBM Building at 1200 5th Avenue will be taking donations during the day on the 15th, and the Bank of America Plaza at 1401 4th Avenue’ll be doing the same on the 17th.
