Oh c'mon, let the fans have it. The only other place where the fans are given as much credit as they are here is in Green Bay - and frankly, it's an anomaly for Green Bay to suck as much as it's an anomaly for the 'hawks to be going to the Superbowl.

It's a first-time ever, making history sort of event. Fun times! (This is my first season watching football in many, many years - my last two ex's didn't like sports at all. I started up again this year primarily to spend more time with my male friends outside a club environment, and started following other teams so I could converse more easily during gametime. And now I enjoy it - it's a really fun break from my academic-focused life. If nothing else, it's a great excuse for socializing!)

I agree. My night out in BellTown with all the other hipsters; was tainted by football fans getting an early start. I realize we live in a super casual city, but when did it become acceptable to sport a Seahawks jersey at El Gaucho?

I'll be at perusing the Fremont Market and reading at Cafe Ladro. The anti football activity.

Can't you just let them have their fun? It's not like this happens every year.

No controversy in not being a sports fan, of course. I'm not usually a sports fan, but I can jive with the fact that what the Seahawks are doing is big - really big. And also a zillion times better than they've done in about 25 years.

So yeah, you might have to put up with it, but it'll be over - either Sunday, or in a couple weeks. It's really nice to have something for Seattle to be proud of. It's a big improvement over the Enumclaw Man-Horse Love Association. :)
