SAM parties, take two

Those of you who missed the closing of the Seattle Art Museum’s downtown location will have a chance this weekend to see another SAM party in action.

On Saturday (the 21st), the Asian Art Museum will be holding a grand reopening bash in Volunteer Park–the SAAM will be the museum’s base of operations until the downtown remodeling is finished. It looks like they intend to have a little something for everyone, from mural painting and sumo suits to dance, lectures, and DJs. I’ll bet the Starbucks Coffee jetpacks will make a return appearance, too.

The party starts at 10 am and lasts all day, and is “free with museum admission.”
