RSS is Sad

This is a sort of weird post, in that “well, if RSS is broken, no one will see the post who’s feeding it out” sort of way, but nonetheless, a general head’s up to our readers that indeed, at least the Livejournal RSS of this blog is unhappy. Actually, of late, all the Livejournal RSS has been sad.

Just, ya know, so you know. In case you came looking.

What a strange post.

Last night was the first time it updated in three days… I honestly think LJ is the one with the issue, but I only use LJ, and for all I know all the RSS syn’s are unhappy.

(LJ RSS feeds are only updating every few days right now, leaving you with floods of posts and then droughts…)

Speaking of the RSS feed, would it be possible to create a feed that doesn’t include comments, but only the posts? Right now the posts are marked as updated and reappear every time someone posts a comment, which means I keep wading through posts I’ve already read. (I use Bloglines.com.) I appreciate that the comments are available in a feed–that’s valuable too–but it’d be nice to have a choice. Thanks.

maarten: I think that the livejournal syndicated feed has been fixed. It’s now http://seattle_metblog.livejournal.com and includes only the post with a link to extended entries and any comments.
