strangerwatch: strangercrombie values

For the past few years, the Stranger auctions off a bunch of great items and a lot of editorial content [strangercrombie 2005] in the name of feeding the hungry (the profits go to Northwest Harvest). This sort of eBay bonanza raises the question of whether there are any bargains to be had.

Above you’ll find a graph of the current bids plotted against the stated value. Priceless items are arbitrarily valued at $2500, and the red line separates bids greater than the value. Non-priceless items going for less than 25 percent of their value are labeled.

At this hour (data [.csv]), the most undervalued item is the “priceless” video of Christopher Frizzelle’s Feet [#] and the only bid for more than the stated value is for the Fashion Package [#]. The title for highest bid is currently claimed by a lover of Pearl Jam [#].

Which, if any, Strangercrombie item is on your most wanted list? Here at Metblogs Charts & Graphs Central, we’ll update the graph as the auction nears its final phases to help you find the best value for your hard-earned dollars.
