There must be some kind of law where you adapt to the situation you are in and find it to be most troublesome. A light dusting is all they get here in Vancouver and they shut things down because otherwise, we’d be working more than across the country that gets snow days. =)

When I lived in Boulder, you would drive down the highway in the snow and see four-wheel drive vehicles in the ditch. In fact, I think during one storm I saw 3 4x4s for every 1 non-4×4.

Four-wheel drive is great in snow, but on ice it behaves just like everything else on ice, only far worse if you’re driving like it’s a dry road.
