If anywhere has good vegan pumpkin pie, it'll be them. I seem to recall they have quite an assortment of spectacular vegan deserts. I miss pumpkin pie. Back in my pre-vegan days, I made a really mean pumpkin pie. I've tried, but this is one thing I haven't been able to find a decent vegan substitute for. We bought a vegan pumpkin pie at Madison Market last year, made by Flying Apron Bakery, but it was really awful. (Not only vegan, but also a wheat-free crust. Feh.) I guess the sad truth is that you really can't make a proper custard without eggs ... And, yes -- big thumbs up on Caffe Ladro's coffee. Yum. Argh! I miss pumpkin pie.
