Vorsprung durch Latte-Technik
I’m on the road, posting from New York City, where a Starbucks on the Upper West Side delivered my drink with a high-tech printout affixed to the side of my cup, instead of the usual cryptic scrawl of alphabetic codes:
Any Seattle locations doing this? I remember that the large 24-hour location in Chicago’s Old Town has some similar system to avoid drink confusion. Perhaps they should just print out an extra sticker customers could wear on their lapels, to save time ordering in the first place. Who says your favorite drink doesn’t label you?

the rose hill (kirkland) store does this.
have fun in NYC!
They do it at the drive-thru on Northgate Way (also 24-hours). In fact, I’ve seen them at other drive-thrus as well. I bet you that’s why — because they’ve got orders coming from both sides.
Sbx in Snohomish does it, too. I actually like the scrawl better, myself… Have a great time in NY!
