Zombies!
I know how much you like zombies, how you gather your friends to watch zombie movies on the weekends and how when no one’s home you chase your dog around your apartment going, “Braaaaains!” And so it is fortunate that Cleo Zombie is organizing not one but three zombie walks: Saturday the 15th in Ballard, Saturday the 29th in Fremont, and right on Halloween in Capitol Hill. Here it is, your chance to, “Walk with your un-dead brethren through the streets of Seattle in the light of day.”
Zombie getups are pretty easily made with materials you have at home. Rip up some old clothes, smear some dirt on your face, and mix up a bit of red food coloring and corn syrup for tasty blood. Then all you have to do is learn how to lumber down the street like the undead, and you’re all set!
If you don’t want to be a zombie, consider being a victim. All you’ll need is a nametag that says something like, “Victim” or “Eat Me,” so that the zombies will know that you are open to being mauled. You could also take pictures of the sexiest zombies, pretend to be a reporter and follow along taking notes, or run ahead of the herd screaming and warning innocent bystanders.
