Everybody I know - albeit not many people - love the Water Taxi. One of my neighbors even wrote Metro to plead with them to extend the season this year. Sadly she was denied. And yesterday, while I was squashed into a 37 Metrobus, the riders there were all talking about how they missed the WT. Perhaps we can use your awesome slogan on the West Seattle buses?

Thanks for your Water Taxi patronage. I worked on the Sightseer many evenings, some mornings, and my love for the Taxi grew daily. I live in a condo next to Quest field, and always knew the Taxi exsisted but never used it until this year. It's such a fantastic idea.

But how do we increase ridership? I'd like to see a Taxi-only dock and parking lot in W. Seattle, and a better boat (sorry, SS, but you're just not build for our bay and Vashon food ferry wakes). The Metro people were all nice and helpful with the program, but it needs more...oomph. Let's take away the pilot program status (IE excuse for not doing more for the last 9+ years) and make it happen. Perhaps a slogan would help things: the Elliot Bay Water Taxi - Because the West Seattle Bridge Can Be a Big Pain in the Ass and You Know It.
