Something for nothing

Hey, how come I’m getting free wifi at the airport? When did this happen? I mean, this is the AIRPORT. Nothing is free here. In fact, you get charged extra, for anything you would care to buy. I keep expecting someone to come up, tap me on the shoulder, and ask to charge my credit card.

    Are you in terminal A?

I think I posted to the metblog from there, too! [mb]

If you’re near the Alaska BoardRoom or a Continental President’s club, their signal is free and you might be locking onto it. Otherwise, unless there’s been a glitch in the ether, Seatac is hooked up with Cingular with one of the most expensive hookups I’ve encountered - around $10 for a one-time hit.

oh, cool! I might have to remember that for next time (free alaska wifi).

No, there is no glitch with Cingular, and no, I’m not in Terminal A — I was at N6 (United)… maybe some sort of united wifi?
