katrina benefit roundup

arcsm_09012005.gif amazon | red cross donations This post will float at the top of the site for a while; so send news of other benefits and I’ll keep updating the list.

Although this is the sort of thing that might benefit from a wiki, here’s a list of options for having fun while donating to causes supporting Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. Please comment or e-mail info for other events and I’ll add them to the list.

Please join County Executive Ron Sims, Mayor Greg Nickels and a host of national and local celebrities as they welcome The often-imitated, but NEVER duplicated Grambling Marching Band to Seattle!!

Short notice, but this sounds good:

The world famous Tiger marching band will be “strutting their stuff” during a Lunchtime benefit for the victims of Hurricane Katrina

This Friday, September 16, 2004, Noon-1:30 p.m.at Memorial Stadium, Seattle Center. The cost is FREE and is Open to the public.

Donations from this event go directly to help victims of Hurricane Katrina.

I’d like to donate clothes to Katrina survivors. Where can I drop them off in the Seattle area?
