bumbershoot sunday: and now a word from the fans

elvisfan_09052005.jpg

Carolyn already posted a very nice and serious roundup of the rainy day fun of Sunday’s Bumbershoot. So rather than add more of my observations on the goodness of the afternoon’s deservingly packed performances by Math and Physics club and Headphones at the EMP, I’ll leave you with a few words from a very excited Elvis Costello fan, overheard between dance/spins:

“ELVIS!”
“THIS IS SO BADASS!”
“ELVIS!!!”
“THIS IS COMPLETELY AMAZING, RIGHT?”
“ELVIS!!”

Also, there was a dancing cockatoo in attendance.

Do you know the name and artist of the song Costello closed with on Sunday night? He said it was a New Orleans song, but I can’t figure it out. Thanks.

sorry — I’ve consulted by Elvis Costello expert and couldn’t find the answer. Maybe someone else will be able to help? Or keep an eye on http://www.elviscostello.info/gigography/recent.php — maybe someone will post the setlist.
