Canoe & Kayaks on Greenlake

greenlake_canoe.jpgMore than the usual bustle of activity on Greenlake today, as the Seattle Canoe and Kayak Club hosted the 2005 USA Canoe/Kayak Sprint Nationals.

Apparently North Seattle’s premiere lake recreation area is, according to the sponsors, “one of the most exciting places in the country to race, with as many as 10,000 people using the trails and park surrounding the lake on a typical summer day.” I bet that statistic also applies to the ever-busy (and Josh-endorsed) Starbucks on the north side of the water.

hey - I like to pretend that the greenlake branch was a sitewide favorite Starbucks. I think that post will win this year’s contest for favorite semi-legitimate use of the editorial we.
