grade A | more love of lists

Shauna alluded to our city’s collective fitness in her post about taking a bike ride on the Burke-Gilman trail [seattle.gov], but an item in today’s news makes it “official”. To overpriced and livable, we can add a third runner-up spot in the Men’s Health survey of the healthiest cities [kgw] to our city’s shelf of not-especially meaningful laurels.

Falling behind brown-nosing A+ cities Washington (D.C.), Anchorage (AK), and San Jose (CA), Seattle still made the grade with a solid A from the health-themed magazine.

What do you think? Is this latest accolade warranted? Does it just make you feel guilty about catching a movie when the weather’s nice?

Guilty? Only when I’m eating popcorn…at the movie!

I actually found another item to add to your list, too. See the post here: http://philadelphia.metblogs.com/archives/2005/08/philadelphia_id.phtml

(You guys are #3; but in this case, that might be a relief.)

Just try the popcorn with less butter and you’ll feel less guilty!

Suzanne: ah, voting irregularities — a quaint holdover from the frontier mentality.
