Best Bartender: Aaron Marshall at Tini Bigs.
[[Waving] Hi, Aaron and Patrick!]
Seattle Weekly’s Best of Seattle 2005 edition arrived hot-off-the-press this morning.
Of the winners this year, I’m pleased some of my favorites below were recognized:
People, Politics & Media:
Best Local Politician: Jim McDermott
Best Grassroots Media Outlet: Real Change
Best Public TV Channel: Seattle Channel
Food & Drink:
Best Happy Hour: McCormick & Schmick’s
Best Happy Hour for Grown-Ups: Sorrento Hotel’s Fireside Room
Best Specialty Cocktail: Mojito Cafe
Best Upscale Bar: Tini Bigs
Best Bartender: Aaron Marshall at Tini Bigs
Best Mixologist: Ryan Magarian at Restaurant Z
although I realize it’s grinchy, I find these gigantic best of lists a little bit exhausting and often so inclusive as to be meaningless. (not just because we didn’t win best weblog, either.)
I find them a bit fun! But of course, I also enjoy watching [most] award shows, usually rooting for the underdogs to win.
