Someone was telling me they asked the person at Starbucks if it was good and they said "no." And then they laughed because the next person in line ordered one.

To be fair, Starbucks is very proud of the fact that their whipped cream is made fresh at every location every morning, not from a can. Not sure anything on God's green earth can explain the color of the drink itself, however.

I've had a (non-dairy) green tea frappe from a place I used to frequent back in Washington DC (Java Green), and it was delicious. I can't comment on how good starbucks' drink would be, especially since it's made with dairy. But when done right, the drink can be really really good.

I don't understand why the color would turn you off so much, but maybe you don't drink as much tea (green and otherwise) as I do. The green color is natural--matcha powder is quite green. The green machine Naked Juice is quite good, and the coloring in that comes from spirulina. I do, however, draw the line at green ketchup--yellow #? and blue #? just don't seem very appetizing.

There was a concert in Philly last weekend where Starbucks was giving away free samples of their new drinks. One was that green tea frappuccino, and I have to say, it wasn't half bad.
