$55 (advance tickets) for 4 days of a plethora of arts. Can’t really complain. It’s worth it.

ben: here’s a list of a few acts that I’m looking forward to seeing at Bumbershoot. It’s mostly limited to people I’ve seen or heard somewhere, which doesn’t rule out the possibility of checking out entirely new acts and being pleasantly surprised:

saturday:

Smart: Dave Eggers, Sarah Vowell, Daniel Handler (Lemony Snicket), Mike Doughty, and the Transatlantic Orchestra in a Benefit for 826 Seattle; Visqueen, Harvey Danger, Minus The Bear, Kevin Sampsell, Shelley Jackson, Mercir, IQU

sunday:

Jesse Sykes & The Sweet Hereafter, Son Volt, Schoolyard Heroes, Pretty Girls Make Graves. The Posies, Math and Physics Club, Headphones, Lauren Weedman – “Wreckage”

monday:

The Decemberists. Dashboard Confessional.

naiah: While I’m not very sad about either of these drop-outs, I can appreciate that they were a big deal to a lot of people. I hope that some other great acts get recruited to make up for it.

That sure is right. Compared to the previous years, there are less headliners this year. The hiphop lineup looks pretty strong at least.
