bumbershoot — headliner shakeup!
Two of Bumbershoot’s 2005 headliners have cancelled their summer tours, leaving gaps in the schedule waiting to be filled with artists that are bound to simultaneously thrill, dissappoint, or leave you indifferent to the whole thing.
Ani DiFranco and Devo are out of the festival. According to the Bumbershoot news page [#], replacements “to be announced”. OneReel consistently puts on a great weekend; so it’s likely that they’ll come through with some interesting choices.

Ok, that’s kind of a bummer. Being from Akron, OH myself, I was totally looking forward to Devo…
Have to say, this year’s bumbershoot line up looks pretty thin compared to many previous years. Interested to hear some recommendations on bands that I may be under appreciating. Thanks!
Ben
That sure is right. Compared to the previous years, there are less headliners this year. The hiphop lineup looks pretty strong at least.
naiah: While I’m not very sad about either of these drop-outs, I can appreciate that they were a big deal to a lot of people. I hope that some other great acts get recruited to make up for it.

There are fewer headliners right now, but who knows what will happen once they get two more to take the place of Devo and Ani?

$55 (advance tickets) for 4 days of a plethora of arts. Can’t really complain. It’s worth it.
Yeah whatever. the garbage show tonight was absolutely amazing! no gaps tonight. great shows all around!
I agree. Garbage was great. The Ruby Doe put on a good show, too.
