Get your Bite on this weekend

If indulging on food, listening to music and mingling amongst tens of thousands of people under the hot summer sun is your kind of event, then the Bite of Seattle is just your thing to do this weekend.

The Bite of Seattle, held at the Seattle Center urban playground, is the culinary event of the summer in Seattle showcasing over 50 local restaurants offering tastes of varied scrumptious global cuisines, along with 30 other food participants handing out product samples.

Some of the tasty dishes you’ll find at the Bite this year includes: fried southern farm-raised catfish and hushpuppies from the Catfish Corner; bbq pork or chicken skewer w/ pancit and lumpia from Espi’s Sausage and Tocino; inihaw beef w/ rice and salad from Manila Bay Cafe; Louisiana gumbo and key lime pie from Southern Kitchen; sun-dried tomato sausage from The Frankfurter; bahn bao combo from Cafe Loc; pad thai from Racha Noodles and Thai Cuisine; rib-tip basket with coleslaw from Jones Barbeque; crab cake plate from Chesapeake Crab Company; huli huli chicken and fried banana from Aloha Plates; strawberry and raspberry shortcake from Biringer Farms; including the Kathy Casey’s Alley $9 food samplings from Seattle’s notable restaurants [Ibiza, Voltera, Sapphire Kitchen and Bar, Troiani, O2, Dish D’Lish, Bandoleone, XO Bistro, Blue C Sushi, The Maltby Cafe, to name a few] with proceeds benefiting the Food Lifeline
