Signs around Bellevue

While I was off vacationing in San Francisco, life went on in Bellevue. Over the weekend, I missed the “grand opening” of Lewis Creek Park, but when I took my visiting in-laws over to see it today, you could still smell that “new park” smell. Must have been one hell of a party: they were still packing up the trucks of stuff this morning.

Lewis Creek is supposedly one of “Bellevue’s biggest parks” although since it’s south of I-90 (and north of Cougar Mountain Park, it’s rather optimistic to imply it’s Bellevue’s. If you go: Call the city of Bellevue ahead of time, as the trail was closed this morning, for reasons unknown. However, the basketball court, boardwalk, and kiddie playground are all in good working order.

The other park I missed the opening of was Issaquah’s new Bark Park — their first ever off-leash dog park. Aw. That’s going to be great I’m sure.
