Despite the teeth-gnashing of many impatient with the pace of construction, the ceremonial donut has finally been installed at the corner of 35th Ave NE and NE 70th Street and Top Pot: Wedgwood looks like it’s finally nearing completion.

Residents of Ravenna and Wedgwood alike will soon have a plethora of coffee/pastry choices, as this new location of the local donut and joe chain opens across the street from the old standby Grateful Bread. This neighborhood favorite recently completed extensive work on its enclosed deck, perhaps in anticipation of the upcoming competitor moving in. Free WiFi with purchase makes this venue a winner, as if their freshly-baked-on-location offerings weren’t enough.
