On the topic of Gay & Lesbian, has anyone heard of the indie tv series, "35th Street Mission" ?

Apparently this is a home-grown TV series that is being filmed in Seattle. I was reading on the site and it shows pictures of them building there own set?

The show is about these two gay dudes running a Seattle coffee house.

Seems interesting.

Not just the Stranger -- it's also on the front page of the New York Times this morning. It's not *all* Microsoft's fault, but their craven caving to vocal fundamentalist opposition (and their public denials about it) sure didn't help. One freakin' vote.

There's always next session? We've been hearing that for how many sessions now?

As to school closings, education here is seriously underfunded as compared with other states, which is really sad considering how wealthy we are. Too many darned kids wanting an education, too few taxpayers willing to pay for it.

According to The Stranger, the gay rights bill defeat is all the fault of Microsoft, or something. The political blogs (in particular, AmericaBLOG) are in high drama mode over it. Sort of stings that it went down by one vote, but that's the way the roll call crumbles. There's always next session.

As for everything else, I suppose it's the same old story. Too many hands out, not enough money to go around. The folks in eastern WA want to secede, I say we let them. Fewer grabbing hands might help.
