Break in your shoes first.

So last weekend was a nice jaunt out in the lovely city of Seattle. Too bad I wore shoes that were extremely uncomfortable. Some things I learned…

The Chapel Bar — This is a very cool place. Its a converted mortuary and has a happy hour every single day. The kumquat martini (only 4 dollars) was most excellent. I then jaunted over to…
Chopstixs a Dueling Piano Bar — This place didn’t let me down. It was sooo much fun and if you have time and don’t mind standing around, this place is extremely fun. However, they never played the song we requested by Van Morrison…Next…
Jai Thai won’t feed you after 10ish…but they had a fun strobe light…
The Bada Lounge — Retro and cool, a fun place to hang out with friends and dance the alcohol from prior in the evening off.

I checked out a cool art gallery in Pioneer Square on Sunday called Soil. We saw this exhibit called Seeing Green. I recommend the work of Randy Wood, he draws a mean rock. Magic Mouse Toys on First Ave was so much fun…they have more sea monkey kits than you can shake a stick at. The Online Coffee Co, good selection and yummy beverages, not to mention a good selection of scones…and its in the free ride zone.

(My world seems to revolve around booze and food these days.)

Hmmm, Jai Thai on Broadway serves food till 1a. And has drinks. And has jungle playing. In case you’re tired of the Charlie’s/Broadway Grill late-night food choice on the Hill.
