New Year’s Eve Around Town

Buskers whooping it up at the Pike Place Market. Or, from the looks of horror on their faces, maybe “whooping it down” is a better description.

The last night of lights at the Bellevue Botanical Gardens was crowded, with visitors ooh-ing and aah-ing over such displays as this giant spider web and an equally mesmerizing frog.

New Year’s Eve on Capitol Hill

After feasting with some friends, we all walked down to watch the fireworks. It was raining lightly and Broadway was fairly quiet for a Friday evening.
