My main point was that I didn't have to go anywhere. You see I have this inate fear of people that I don't know, which doesn't lend me to wanting to go where many people might be. I'm not real concerned with the my ballot getting lost. There is a system in place for you to call, and make sure that your ballot was received. I’m not real concerned with the my ballot getting lost. There is a system in place for you to call, and make sure that your ballot was received.

I filled out the sample ballot in my voter's pamphlet at home, then pulled it out of my pocket in the booth and voted my little heart out. I think part of the reason I've avoided absentee ballots is concern that it will get lost. Also, the electronic votes seem to get tallied earlier (judging by the fact that on TV for the close races they always say "with 100,000 absentee ballots yet to be counted..." or some such thing) so I feel when they announce a winner that my vote actually was part of that.
