The cure to a possible hangover…

Alright so there I was, at Neumo’s (which I have to say is one of my favorite venues because of the great sound and lighting and nice homey feel) feeling like I was watching a music video as the Libertines put on a FANTASTIC show last night. I only had two beers (they don’t have draft!!) so -I- wasn’t drunk at all. Well we left the show after a stellar encore about 1 am and since I hadn’t eaten, Victoria and I just randomly decided upon food. Well right next to Neumo’s is a little place that you’d miss if you weren’t looking called Frites. Belgian fries!!! Best news to a concert goer, they are open 12:30 pm to 2:30 am Tuesday – Saturday. I am going to list this just for kicks because I am amazed at all the possible sauces you could have with your french fries. There are: fritesaus, sour cream-chives, adobo mayo, tartar sauce, sun dried tomato mayo, roasted red pepper mayo, rosemary mayo, pesto mayo, garlic aioli, pablano ranch, ranch, tzatziki, honey mustard, mustard, curry ketchup, ketchup, andalouse sauce, horseradish aioli, and sateh peanut sauce!
— The Stranger (issue 6/17/04) “…few foods absorb alcohol more effectively than French Fries. Portable, cheap, and feature a near ideal balance of grease and carbohydrates, fries are the perfect stumbling-drunk-up-the-street-at-2:30-a.m. snack.”
This has been a public service announcement.
