The Pacific and some Kurt Cobain

Today we decided to venture out of Seattle and check out what scenic wonders we could stumble upon. The destination of choice, Ocean Shores which is about 2.5 hours from Seattle. On the way we had to drive through Aberdeen and my friend being a huge Kurt Cobain fan decided to take us to the bridge where he used to live under. It was oddly nostalgic. I figured it would be very uninteresting but actually, it was quite. People from all over the world have visited that very spot and signed under the bridge. It was neat to see postings from people from Iceland and England and other faraway spots. We then threw coins and made a wish as they fell by the ‘banks of the muddy Wishkah’. It was alot of fun suprisingly. :) And its super easy to find, if you just get off of Wishkah by the music store that starts with an R (I don’t remember the name) after the bridge that says Welcome to Aberdeen, and get onto Market street, its a straight shot from there. Bring your climbing shoes though because you have to crawl down this hill thing to get under the bridge. We left Aberdeen and ended up at Ocean Shores Beach to hang out and visit the lovely Pacific. You can even drive your cars on the beach at this particular location. If you’re looking for a little serenity and quiet, I don’t recommend this spot. Oh and watch out for the horse poo, they give horseback rides on the beach for 20 dollars an hour. We had lunch, I got some fantastic salt water taffy and then we decided to call it a day. Decent day trip and very inexpensive.
